BOTOX Injections

Botox is a prescription injection that can help prevent chronic migraines in adults. It is injected into the muscles around the head and neck every three TO six months to supress the release of neurotransmitters from sensory neurons which may help prevent pain caused by muscle spasms. Botox is approved for people 18 and older who experience 15 or more migraine days per month, each lasting four or more hours. Our Injector Lisa Merck, APRN has special certification to perform these injections.
